Zoom H4n as an audio interface or a mixer?

Ive been trying to record lately and was just wondering if you guys think it is easier to record using it as an audio interface and recording everything onto my computer or have any of you tried recording everything on it its self and then storing it on the computer and then bringing that audio file into a DAW
 
if you are recording on a computer then record using it as a usb sound card.
if you are using it remotely and have no computer use the internal memory to record.
Aint rocket science!
