This machine has been mentioned countless times as a great way to get lo fi tape compression and clip the mixer section into grittiness.
But only the MKII is mentioned, while the MKIII seems to be owned by people wanting cleaner recordings, at least from information gathered in this forum, so I just want to make sure because i see MKIIIs for sale much more often.
Does the MKIII sound the same as the MKII ? can it get you that clipping grit that i hear in a lot of recordings supposedly done with them ?
