Recording Bands, Orchestras, Gigs

Hi
I'm about to start up a little, part-time venture in recording bands (especially school bands and orchestras), maybe live gigs and concerts, and solo/small ensemble performances (e.g. for music exams, or just for pleasure and private listening).
The basic plan is to get the sound down, in the venue, then edit and master at home.

I've now got the following gear:
  • Win 10 laptop, running Cubase Elements 8
  • M-Audio M-Track 8 (an eight input interface). This was highly recommended in reviews.
  • As a back-up, A Yamaha AW1600 which I bought new 8 years ago and which has seen very little work. It has 8 inputs, 16 tracks - one of those all-in-one hard disc recorders with a CD burner. I could do most jobs with this item alone.
  • A bunch of good mics: Rode NT1000, NT3, NT5 (stereo pair), M3 (2 stereo pairs), Behringer B1, Shure 57, 58, Sennheiser 845. Enough to put mics around a concert band or orchestra.
  • Enough stands, clips and leads to do most jobs. Some pretty good headphones.
  • Mixing and editing in Elements, mastering the wave file in Logic X.

Any comments or advice?
