protools 5.2 pluggins

Hey,

I am currently using protools 5.2 with Mac OS 9.2. I will be upgrading to Mac OS X and have just aquired protools 6.1 to work with OS X. I was recently told that my pluggins that I have for 5.2 will not work with 6.1 software. Can someone please tell if this statement is true or not?

What you were told is correct. OSX is an entirely different operating system (as well as a million times better), which required every plug-in manufacturer to completely redesign their software. Don't forget that the re-design also included making plug-ins suiteable for higher clock speeds.
 
Thanks!! that really sucks, becuase I have to get all of these pluggins all over again.

Do you know anywhere I can get pluggins for protools 6.1 at a good price?
