Pro Tools SE issues.

Hi there and thanks for viewing.

I just got an Avid mic with Pro Tools SE and can't get it to work - the software I mean. The tutorials don't open and I'm having a slight issue with figuring out where I start. I want to put some basic sounds in so I can record vocals on top, but before I record the basic sounds I need to know what I do. Do I plug in my keyboard? Do I find it in the software? And how do I open these tutorials?

I'm on a Mac OS X, if that helps.

Hi there!

Ok, let's break two things down into chunks.

What you want to do (in detail), and what gear you have.

For example, your keyboard. Is it midi, or do you want to record the sounds that it makes.
If the latter, are you recording it through a mic or a cable?

What is the interface?
Does the computer recognise the interface?
Does Protools software open?


Tell me anything at all in detail that might help.
