New to this pc based recording world

I am new to this type recording. I have been used to Tascam 4 tracks then on to 16 track sequencers, but always been used to playing all instruments even drum tracks. I got the Tascam US-144 MK II, have a 64 bit windows 7 pc and need help getting started. It came with cubase LE 5 although on screen info says cubase
