MOTU Midi Time Piece

I hear the MOTU Midi time piece is a good midi interface. I own a small home production studio, and would like to have the option of using my MPC, midi controller keyboard, or sequencing program. Is this a good option? Can anyone tell me more about it?

I'm not intimately familliar with that unit but MOTU makes good stuff and what you want to do is pretty basic. It should do the job fine.

i got me a motu micro express works great just the drivers are a lil funny...sometimes it'll load up the wrong ones...

i have the motu mkII and was thinking about getting the time piece too because now i want to sync my keyboard with my drum machine while i record both pieces of gear

i do have a midi man 4x4 and it works fine
but i does not map midi
so what i do is hook my keyboard to my MPC via midi and my MPC is hooked up to the PC via the midi man

also, my recording software( Cakewalk 8) does not allow me to more than 1 midi out interface

so recording software could be an issue for you- maybe not

or you could simply get a midi man 4x4 with your software( yours might allow what mines doesn't)

or get the midi time piece and tell me how it is (smile)

hope i helped

steve
