is mackie cfx12 the best mixer? better options?

I am recording my music now using Cool Edit Pro. I need to get a mixer to hock it up to my computer to improve my recording.

I like the Mackie CFX 12 since it has effects. I¡¦ve seen so many brands but I don¡¦t know which the best is. (Tascam, Roland,Fostex, Behringer , and Alesis) ƒ¼

Is Mackie cfx12 the best mixer to get? What other equivalent options do I have?
 
If you want Mackie, you'd be better off with the ones that have the XDR mic pre's. The CFX series doesn't have those and the on-board effects are probably marginal.
