Help me!

I have been using Reason for years and am frustrated because I can't seem to figure out how to import analog recordings so that I can play keys on top.

Question 1 - Can this even be done in Reason?

Question 2 - What is the best midi software out there (for pc) that incorporates live analog recording alongside of midi recording?

I am so ready to ditch Reason...especially since it doesn't jibe well with my other installed audio softwary.

Thanks!

Well Cubase is the "father" of MIDI sequencers and you can download a fully working demo of LE(7 I think).

Also try the demo of Samplitude Prox and Sam' Producer 11, you just might fall in love!

I am sure Reaper will be mentioned and it IS a superb, all round DAW, not done anything MIDI with it however so I cannot comment.

Last, Sonar Cakewalk, fairly famous but I just could not get on with it.

Yes, they all do.
Attached is a Cubase example.
