Having trouble with separating channels

I have 2 mics:
1. MXL 990 Condensor
2. Cheap Samson Dynamic

I have a Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro mixer.

I have a Presonus Audiobox 22VSL

I am trying to connect the two mics to the mixer, and send out two separate channels into the Presonus. I want to record each mic on a separate track with my DAW.

My current connections are shown in the image. This is sending out the same signal into both channels. It's sending out the mix, I guess.
Can anyone help me fix this?

You are just about there.

On the Mackie, pan the MXL channel hard left, and the Samson hard right (or vice versa).

Alternatively, plug the MXL straight into one channel of the audio box and the Samson into the other.

Awesome! It's so simple, I would have never thought to do that...lol
