Anyone out there with experience using Fast Track Ultra - it's a great little box, easy to install and use, but I am having a major issue recording live.
I have a 24 channel SoundCraft board - FX16i with individual channel outs (post fade or prefade) design for multitrack recording. I cannot, however control the gain enough for a satisfactory level for recording. Even with the 20db level control engaged, and set at it's lowest level - the vocal and lead guitar channels are overdriven and distorted. I assume that the SOundcraft out levels are not designed for this sort of device? I am running post fade, and my main pa levels are fine - so gain settings in the channel strips are ok.
Question is - is there a way I can lower the level from those outs, or insert a gain level between the two devices? Or am I missing something altogether?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
All the best
Ron
