I have no experience with ADAT so I am not much help.
Here is a link to an ADAT optical unit is which will connect to the digi002:

There other options including S/PDIF. I am just no sure how it all works.
Sorry for the little help. Maybe someone with a little more experience can chime in.
Regarding talkback, I think you do need to use one of your inputs or use a separate device.
