Changing Latency on Audio Interface

I am currently using a Tascam US-1642 interface and am trying to route audio via the DAW (Adobe Audition CS 5.5, Pro Tools, Reaper) to its outputs. However, there is a slight delay. Currently the settings are set to normal latency, but whenever I try to change them, the interface drivers stop working. In my DAW, it goes from showing all the inputs and outputs to showing 2 inputs and outputs that don't actually work. This happens if I turn the latency up or down. The only way to fix this is by either restarting the interface or the computer. Any thoughts?
 
Definitely worth checking for drive up dates....

If no joy then give tascam an email, explaining everything.

If still no luck, then email the DAW customer support if there are any bug fixes their end that could help
