Biasing Tape

Why do you have to bias tape?

What does biasing do in the reel to reel machine for tape?

Using different tape brands/types/model number have to change the
Biasing why?

It depends on what kind of slant you are looking for, left or right. That generally determines how to bias your tape. If you are trying to remain neutral, it's best if the tape isn't biased at all, although someone will usually come along and accuse it of being biased anyway :D :D

I think for many talk radio hosts and much of the country music industry, you bias it to the right.

For Fox News Channel folks, you leave it fair and balanced.

Most major media recording artists, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN affiliates, you bias it to the left.

It's really quite simple.

You gotta set that reference point for the sweet spot for any individual tape, machine, tube, amp, anything. Then when you come up on it, race past it, and draw back down it all reflects where you want things to be. Otherwise the noise floor will be too high cause you're not chargin the tape hard enough, or there won't be enough headroom cause you're over chargin it and it'll all be nasty saturated. If you get a tape deck and start twistin the little pots in there you'll see... :D

It's more of an art than a science really. It helps if you work completely naked so you can better feel the magnetic field of the tape.

An essay on the importance of Googling

'Brilliant', 'Quite Good', 'What?', these are just some of the comments made recently in the press regarding the importance of Googling. There are many factors which influenced the development of the importance of Googling. Until recently considered taboo amongst polite society, it is impossible to overestimate its impact on modern thought. Often it is seen as both a help and a hinderence to those most reliant on technology, obviously. Complex though it is I shall now attempt to provide an exaustive report on the importance of Googling and its numerous 'industries'.

Social Factors

As Reflected in classical mythology society is complicated. The immortal and indispensable phrase ‘honesty is the best policy’ [1] globalised an issue which had remained buried in the hearts of our ancestors for centuries. Both tyranny and democracy are tried and questioned. Yet the importance of Googling is quite good.

Recent thought on the importance of Googling has been a real eye-opener for society from young to old. It is intrinsically linked to adolescent inner acclimatisation.

Economic Factors

There has been a great deal of discussion in the world of economics, centred on the value of the importance of Googling. We will primarily be focusing on the Inter-Spam model of economics. Cost
Of
Living

the importance of Googling

Indisputably there is a link. How can this be explained? It goes with out saying that the cost of living sings a very different tune. Assumptions made by traders have caused uncertainty amongst the private sector.

Political Factors

Politics has in some areas been seen to embrace an increasing ananiathesis of intergovernmentalism leading to neo-functionalism. Comparing the general view of politics held by the poor of the west with those of the east can be like comparing the importance of Googling and former Wolves striker Steve Bull.

In the words of the uncompromising Esperanza Woodpecker 'You can lead a horse to water, big deal.' [2] This quotation leads me to suspect that he was not unaccustomed to the importance of Googling. It speaks volumes. If the importance of Googling be the food of politics, play on.

Is the importance of Googling politically correct, in every sense? Each man, woman and to a lesser extent, child, must make up their own mind.
Conclusion

We can say with certainty the importance of Googling deserves all of the attention it gets. It inspires, brings glamour to an unglamorous time and statistically it's great.

Here with the final word is Hollywood's Stevie Cruise: 'I demand the importance of Googling, nothing more nothing less.' [3]
