What thread size are XLR cable connector boots?

I tried googling but couldn't find the answer. I'd just like to know what the thread size is for the back of an XLR connector. The threaded part that the boot screws onto. I understand that some companies may be different, but looking at the baker's dozen of XLR cables I have laying around from different manufacturers, these all seem to be the same thread so I'd guess there's something of a standard. I'd like to know because I'm thinking about DIY mounting options onto a desktop mic stand.

Measured with digital caliper. Neutrik and GLS are the only ones I have with screw on boots (I think).

Neutrik XLR body thread dia. - 16.78mm

GLS (Neutik clone) body thread dia. - 16.50mm

Mic stand thread (5/8" x 27) dia. - 15.73mm

The threads/inch on both XLR connector bodies seemed close to that of the mic stand thread, 27 threads/inch, but not quite a perfect match.
