Teac A-4300 reel to reel. How to thread tape and play.

I have an old open reel tape I am trying to play on a Teac A-4300 reel to reel recorder. I don't know how to thread the tape and it seems to be running very fast, like rewind or fast forware. There is not a button that says PLAY, only arrow buttons and one that says FAST.

Can you help?

Sometimes when they sit for too long, they get sticky. Alternate punching the play arrow and the stop button. Check to see if the rubber pinch roller is moving in towards the capstan (drive rod). If it's not frozen too bad you can gently nudge the pinch roller along. Doing this and using it can free it up. If it's too frozen, taking it apart and putting some lube in the right places can work. Or you can sell it to me.
