Hello,
I'm completely new to the whole recording music by myself thing so I could really use your opinions, if you're willing to share them with me.
I've been looking for an external sound card for quite some time now and I've been reading good reviews about the TASCAM US-122L Audio Interface.
I would like to ask if the aforementioned device is any good.
Will I be able to record like 4 instruments (multitracking) or whatever?
Is it going to work with Protools if I purchase it?
I would like to read your recommendations, but I'd rather any soundcards you mention to be in usb interface.
Thank you beforehand..

Hi mate, welcome to the boards.

I've never used/seen the Tascam US-122L so i can't give advice about that i'm afraid.

Regarding Pro Tools; you can only use Digidesign hardware when using ProTools. Mbox, Mbox2, Digidesign 001,002,003 - have a search and you'll find them all.

Not meaning to confuse you, but i've had good good experiences with the Presonus Firebox ( http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--PRSFIREBOX )
Very good pre amps, multiple inputs, small and built like a brick and will most likely come with some free software.

Anyway, sorry i couldn't have been more help.

Good luck
