Super Newbie: Need Help With Getting Audio to Play in Stereo

Hey everyone. I'm a new member to this site and I just downloaded reaper. I have an audio interface (Scarlett 2i2), two microphones and a pair of studio headphones. I've had this problem before in audacity but I've forgotten the solution: When I record and play back my audio, audio from one microphone will playback in my left ear while audio from the other microphone plays back in the right ear. I'm trying to get it so that both tracks play into both ears. Any solutions? Thank you.

The simplest way is to record your audio to two separate mono tracks. They will be panned center by default. When you're creating the tracks, select mono inputs from the hardware. On track 1 in Reaper select Scarlett input 1/L, and on track 2 in Reaper select Scarlett input 2/R.

The sidenote is that you*are* playing in stereo -- Odd to left and even to right. Stereo being the *difference* between left and right (in this case, as complete a difference as is available).

Mono tracks 99.9% of the time and pan as needed.
