Static background coming from audio interface Help?

Equipment I'm using:
Tascam 4x4
Samson SR850

I've been recording for months with no issue of this before and tonight I noticed a static noise in the background of my tracks.

I can replicate the problem with EVERYTHING unplugged except the headset and it's still static.

I've tried turning phantom power off/on, using different outlets, plugging headset into a different line out, turning all input knobs to 0.

Pretty much nothing I've tried works, and I hate the static sound in the background still.

Any ideas?

Please let us know if you're recording into a DAW, PC soundcard, or..?

Also, please post a sample clip containing this static.

"Static" is an oxymoronic term that means little, especially to us Limeys!

Is it a hiss, a buzz/hum, a crackle or what? Yes, post a sample. For me the best way is a 320k MP3 attachment or about 20 seconds.

Dave.

[Kind of related to ecc83's post] If you bounce out a mix and listen on a different device/computer is the "static" actually in the tracks, or just in your monitoring setup? If it is, can you post a link so we can hear that?
