Recording process...

This is basically it?
1. You write a beautiful song that needs to be heard (haha, yeah right )
2. You play the song and record it onto a multi-track recorder or onto a computer
3. You mix the tracks together on the computer using some sort of software (or on the mult-track recorder if it has the capability)
4. Once you're done mixing, the track is good to go

Now I know I'm missing things in there. Fill me in please?

dont forget steps:

3a : listen to it in different areas, on differerent speakers
3b : remix accordingly
3c : return to 3a as needed


then

7 : distribute accordingly (ie. lots of shows or tours)
8 : save the income (ya right)
9 : return to step 1 (new album)
