New to using Reaper, and have a huge latency issue when trying to record. I can't find anywhere to adjust it. I am using mobilepre usb. And that's another issue. As long as the mopre is plugged into the computer, my computer speakers won't work.

come to reaper chat on my signature.

Change to asio drivers in options\preferences\audio\device...make sure you have an ASIO driver selected. Click "asio control panel" and look at the buffer settings in there. Happy, low latency is available with that card.

I have tried to get to the chat, but for some reason windows closes when I try. I chose asio as the audio system, m-audio usb asio interface as the driver. It is better, but I still have a bit of latency. I am not sure where to find asio control panel & buffer settings you mention.

    Thanks

Some systems dont seem to liek that Java enabled chat approach

An alternate way is to use an IRC app like www.mirc.com or chatzilla if you run firefox

    Server: irc.mixxnet.net
    channel #reaper

Your asio control panel can be accesed by clicking the box with the red arrow pointing at it here:

I thought that was it, but nothing happens when I click on the asio config box. If i try adifferent asio driver, reaper shuts off.

Reducing samples per buffer to about 64 should eliminate latency.
