Hi. I'm trying to get my DAW set up and I'm trying to figure out what hardware will be best for what I'm wanting to do. I'm planning on recording all of my songs track by track....so I will never be recording more than 1 imput device at a time....so I only need two channels....right? I was looking at the RME ADI 2 24/192 2-Channel AD/DA Converter (http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--RMEADI2). My translation of all the gibberish on that page is that this thing does a really good job converting 2 channels. Would this be a good piece of equipment for me? I have another question. What would be the best way to hook this up to the computer? Am going to have to buy an expensive PCI card to go along with this? My budget is around $1000 USD. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
