Hi I have a Akai MPK49 and run Reason 5, I am wondering from people who have a similar setup what would be the best way to go to a run a hookup a mic? It's a laptop windows.

OK, what is your question exactly. You're asking 3 different things.

Your thread title is "Need the right mic".

But then you ask about the best way to "run" and "hook up" a mic all in one sentence.

Sorry about that I guess my question is I have the MPK49 and use reason to make instrumentals and now I would like to record voice what would be the best way to do it, would I need extra equipment besides a mic....ect?

Dude... read the information already available in the sticky threads up the top.

There are a million options available. What you need depends upon what you're intending to do. Probably you'll need a mic and an interface.
