Hello,

As the subject states i would like to ask you here about choosing the right mixer for bringing more inputs to my studio.

I have RME Fireface 400 which until now was working fine to record few instruments but since my studio got upgraded to 7 hardware instruments i don't have enough inputs on the soundcard to record them.

So i would like to ask you guys if you had any experience with any of the mixers which i am considering as an option and which one you would recommend:

Mackie 1402VLZ4, 14 channel (390 euros)
VLZ4 Series Compact Mixer Series - Mackie

Mackie ProFX 16 V2 (435.00 euros)
PROFXV2 Series Compact Mixer Series - Mackie

Allen & Heath ZED-14 (402.00 euros)
ZED-14 - Allen & Heath

Soundcraft Signature 16 (584.00 euros)
Signature 16 | Soundcraft - Professional Audio Mixers

Presonus Studio Live AR 16 (640.00 euros)
StudioLive AR16 USB | PreSonus

Please let me know your opinions on this mixers and which you think brings best quality and it's the most user friendly for recording hardware instruments inside Cubase.

Will appreciate any opinion and also you can suggest me any other mixer which is in this price range if you think would be good to consider buying.

Skip the mixers and get yourself some outboard preamps. You've got two INST/LINE inputs and four Balanced Line Inputs you can use, for a total of eight.
