MIDI into Vegas

Okay, this is a newbie question but MIDI related. So I hope I'm in the right forum.

I am just learning MIDI. If I sequence a drum track, to get that track into Vegas do I set Vegas to sync to MIDI?

I may be missing some points, and I know this is a basic question, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sync what?

Nope- you just play back the MIDI sequence through whatever synth you have and record the audio out from the synth in Vegas. No sync required. Once it's in audio form you can do whatever you want with it.
