I finally dived into gain staging and such.
Now, I know what dB stands for. But now I'm finding out that there's other dB variations. And I don't know what they mean.
I also wonder how to monitor my levels properly when i'm recording to see where they're at. I've been going into a Tascam that just has linear level views. Now I'm moving into Cubase which seems to have lines as well.
Is there a plugin or outboard piece or something that will show me where the levels are at dB wise? Or is there another way of figuring things out?
