Hi guys ,im having problems importing wava from a cd to my MR8HD.
It keeps telling me " empty disk" I followed instructions but no sucsess. Can you please help. Thanks

Did you copy files from the CD to your computer with music software? The music files on a commercial CD are not WAV.

You should read the manual.

Just because a device will write an audio cd does not mean it will rip one.

Rip the files on your computer and shove them over via usb or a data cd as wav files.

MAGIX Samplitude Silver is a totally free DAW that is not only a cracking entry level music sequencer but also has a very easy to use CD ripper in it.

It also has a free MP3 encoder in it and one that can be setup for various levels of "fidelity". I recently smashed a 20 minute stereo .wav file down to 18meg so I could attach it to an email to my son in France. 128kbps mono but he just needed the information.

I am, BTW still looking for an equally easy DVD audio ripper!

Dave.

Probably the best CD ripper you can get is EXACT AUDIO COPY. It includes lots of error correction and diagnostics and does an excellent job. Just about every audio professional I know uses it.

Even better, it's freeware for non commercial purposes.
