How to record Roland TD-3 onto Garageband? (STRESS ON THE NEWBIE TITLE OF FORUM)

Hello,
I have a Roland V-Drums TD-3 model. I was wondering what all I would need to record it with Garageband '09, and if that's even doable. I have the Mix-In cord that I use to play along with songs on my MP3 player, and I read somewhere that's all you need, but I haven't been able to figure out how; would I need a MIDI machine for this? And, as the title suggests, I really don't know much about MIDI. This is seriously the first time I have been wading in the whole audio recording field; LOL, sorry if I sound like a total dork :o

You need a recording sound card, such as the M-Audio 2496 or Delta 44, or whatever the Mac equivalent would be.
