How to plug audio-technica AT2035 into mac/garageband?

hope the experts can help me with this one!

i have an apogee jam, which works wonderfully for getting my electric signal into garageband.

however, my wife also bought me a nice AT2035 condenser microphone, and i'm wondering what the best inexpensive way is to get that signal into my mac as well.

i have USB ports on the mac, no firewire.

thanks so much for any and all advice!

Firstly. Your wife is awesome. Both very good gifts.

Unfortunately, imho the cheapest option would be to box up and sell the apogee jam and pick up a 2in/2out USB audio interface - Focusrite's Scarlett Solo runs at just under 80 quid, has 2 inputs (1 x Hi-z guitar + 1 x mic preamp) and should do the job adequately.
It'll run on your Mac (no problem) or an iPad (with a powered USB hub).

I'd argue that the loss in quality over the apogee jam (on the hi-z input) would be negligible and the Focusrite preamp is clean (until the last 5% - which you're unlikely to reach with the AT2035)
