I am a hypnotherapist trying to have my voice (usb headset/mic) sent with MP3 music on my laptop, to Skype. I essentially want my client to hear my voice and background music at the same time. I was able to configure Voicemeeter to do this, but it is very choppy on Skype or other similar programs. I am on a Windows 10 laptop. Can any of you help me figure out what equipment I need?

Thank you!

Laura

Won't work with a USB mic, but just about any small format mixer with more than a pair of inputs will do. Behringer Xenyx 502 for example.

But you'd need -- (1) A normal mic (or a headset mic with a standard XLR connector) -- (2) A music source and a way to connect it to the mixer (iPod with a 1/8" TRS to dual mono 1/4" cable for example) -- (3) A way to get that signal back to your computer (probably another of that same cable).
