I'm borrowing my friends Fostex Fd4 and was wondering if there is a way I can read the format on my computer straight from my jaz drive, or if I'll have to input the tracks. My end goal is to get this song on cd, but Im not sure how to go about doing so.
Ok... I really need help here. How can I get a song off the fostex fd4 onto my computer? I cannot figure it out. I need to get it on cd. I've tried recording through the line in on my sound card, but I can't get that to work. I also tried recording from the mic jack, but it sounded horrible. Any help would be very appreciated.
i don't think that the format from the fd-4 is readable. i have an fd-4 myself and i've tried.
1. what type of sound card to you have? do you have a line in? use your line in to go to your rca outs on your fd-4.
2. if that doesn't work for you, maybe you can invest in a new sound card that has digital ins/and outs. that way you can go directly to and from the fd-4 in the digital domain, no loss of sound quality.
