External or Internal soundcard

Hey,
I couldn't find much on this topic. I was wondering if I should go with an external soundcard or internal one? It appears that the internal may have interference while the external may not but internal cards also use less power and are more reliable (also tend to cost less) Is this assumption true?

Hasn't been a problem for years.

While I prefer firewire, unless you're looking for more than 12-16 simultaneous i/o's,
just get a usb2 external. Lots easier to move from pc-to-pc as you upgrade and you
dont have to scramble behind the pc to hook everything up.

Yeah I was considering the usb interface for that reason. I was also considering internal because some people say you get more with your money. I've got a soundboard and shouldn't have a problem going to either one either way. My machine is built to support an internal card and handle it well enough. My machine could easily multitask
