Recently got the DR-60D to replace a "blown up" Fostex. Sad that Tascam advertise this unit as a recorder for a DSLR as I am finding it more useful as a stand alone for recording keyboard, TV, voiceovers and ambient.
My interests are mainly video, documentary style and for the Grandkids. I live in an area where tourist railways abound so plenty to go at.
I already had condenser mics, Behringer C-2 matched pair and recently added to them with a C-3. Intend to use this for mid/side recordings. One downside of the DR is that when Phantom Power is on, it wipes out the on board batteries in no time. I have added a USB Power Pack velcroed to the back to supply additional power.
