Might not be your thing, but, I record and mix in a 10ft x 10ft bedroom with 8 ft ceilings. What a nightmare when I tried to mix after what I thought was a good recording. AFTER countless youtube diy's I built my own traps which consisted of 2 CORNER TRAPS ( positioned behind my monitors ) and 4 4ftx 2ft x4" panels which I hung about 2 inches from the wall using L brackets. Panels and corner traps stuffed with Rockwool. Total cost under 300 US Dollars. wow, what a difference!
