Cubase AI4 - Effects presets will not appear.

I have Cubase AI4 (I know, a dinosaur), but as of yesterday, all my effects presets are missing.
I checked Windows, and found all the presets in their proper files, but when I bring up an effect, and click the load presets button,
the preset list is empty.
I've had this program for over 5 years, and this is the first time this has happened. Any ideas?
I'm running windows 10 if that's any help.

It seems to be a feature of W10 that it throws certain toys out of its pram if it thinks they are no longer needed/a threat.
Since it is a 'pre 10' program, you must have installed it? Try doing that again...BUT! Set a Restore point first (and even THAT is not simple in W10!)

Do not love and leave us but the guys over at SoS.com forum might have insights?
