First off - what we have here is a Mac user trying to record in Windows... I just recently bought a killer new Windows laptop and decided to try recording in Windows. I have Vista 32-bit and also Windows 7 on another partition. I installed my Drivers for my Boss GS-10 - it's working cause I can set it up in Amplitube Fender and it kicks in and works fine.
I try to set it up in Cubase 4 AI that I have and also in Sonar too - I cannot get anything to work as it keeps telling me that IT'S IN USE - but nothing else is running (to my knowledge)?? Some stuff was telling me something about Microsoft wave synth and to disable it? What's that ? What the heck do I have to do? This is sad as on my Mac it all just works - without going through a lot of set-up... Do I have to do something special to use my GS-10 USB Interface? I have the VISTA drivers installed and just spent 2 hours in Win 7 trying to get it to work. It'll play system sounds etc but WHAT'S THE ANSWER?
