Can anyone tell me about adobe audition?

Such as what? It's by Adobe and it's called Audition. Everything you'd want to know is probably at the Adobe website.

thanks, Captain Obvious! Just kidding, Is it a good program? Is there a better one? A cheaper one? Do I need a mixing board with it? Your basic "I don't have a clue" questions, thanks

You can try a 30 day demo of Audition. Download it from their site, and check it out. I have had it for about a year, and like it, but also just got Sonar 5. Adobe doesn't do the sof-synth thing with DFHS, so I had to get something for that.
