I have acquired a new PC and I need to copy a video project from the old PC ( vista) to my new PC (windows 8.1).The project is sitting in "Power Director 13" which is also installed on my new PC. (I have an external hard drive)I'm relatively new to computers so any help will be very much appreciated,not too technical please.

How big is the project?
Why not get a USB stick, load it onto there from vista PC then upload it onto 8.1 PC?
If you are not sure where the associated files are, maybe you can load up the project in Power Director on the vista PC, do a "save as" and save it to a USB stick. You should also be able to save all media there as one of the save options. Then take USB stick to 8.1 to 8.1 PC, load up Power Director there and then open the project fdorm the USB stick.
These seem to be simple steps to take, so maybe I'm missing something
