Nice sound on this, overall. Yeah, there is a frequency range on the picked acoustics that makes certain notes stand out more, I think some EQ in the right range would tame that better than compression.
I'm not getting the 'narrow' feel from it at all, in fact I'd move the rhythm acoustics in about 20% instead of hard panning.
I agree with Nola that the lead guitar part is just a little loud.
On the vocal - reduce the volume of the doubled track, this should help with any timing issues with it that were causing what sounded like a phase issue. Bump up the vocal with some air 10-12K a little bit, and lower that 220 bump back down, maybe scoop the guitars shallowly in the 300-400Hz range.
