Strike - U Sure Do

Hi, I'm in the process of creating some backing tracks for a dance band. This is my first track for that project, and I wondered if you would give me some tips on my version. In the band I plan to have a live singer, and also play some parts live myself on keys.

One of the elements that I have really struggled with is making the piano in the intro have as much "impact" as the original track. I used a Korg M1 (VST), which was the original keyboard used on in the song, and I tried all the presets, but I just can't get it to have the same impact as the original. Any ideas on this would be really helpful.

For interest, I've also included this version where I've mixed in some of the original vocals

And here's the original track on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3j2pGMnKj4

I've been working on this more, so here's a v2.

The biggest break-through was using parallel compression on the drum bus @1:03, because it made the drums, and particularly the hi-hats, come to life in a way that sounds much closer to the original.

I still never really managed to get the "impact" I wanted on the piano sound in the intro, and also the organ sound @1:18 lacks a certain "groove" that I can't quite put my finger on. As before, any suggestions for solving these two problems, or improving the mix in general would be greatly appreciated.
