Sad Piano Piece

Hey guys,

This is just a little piece I wrote the other night.
It's about having to let go....

Tell me what you all think :)

I didn't get sad, I got angry, melancholy, and something else I can't quite put my finger on. The melody could be sad - but your playing was stiff fingered rather than soft, so increased the harmonics and gave it an edge. Somebody walking down a city street in a hurry, in the rain, in black and white, in the 50s? - but with a purpose. Does that make sense. Definitely to me NOT sad, but maybe slowed in tempo and the left hand played more gently, the melody itself might have sung a little more and maybe that would put in the sad shift?

Wow! I'm so surprised that you took the time to write such a lengthy review!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it! :)
Yeah, I guess the song is a mixture of things and emotions...
I wrote it/produced it in about 3 hours so it's not perfect, but I guess that's what I like about it.
I wanted to capture the many emotions I was feeling at the time and then somehow record them
in a raw/natural way. Anyway, I'm glad this made you feel something! You've definitely given me some great points to think about.
Again, thank you SO much for taking the time to write about this! :)
