Really appreciate that Tom, glad you got something from it. I agree with the middy vocals, probably due to the mic - I'll use a more conventional choice next time round.

Ecktronic - Yes, basically...it's just the same track - will avoid it in future and I have some stereo mics now!

Is the acoustic compressed? It sounds like it was compressed too much and gets a little punchy. I'd rather hear a more open acoustic with a stronger bottom end.

The bass is a little strong compared to the acoustic, I'd punch up the acoustic and get the bass to sit better.

Also, a little rhythm would help a lot. Maybe some shakers, tambourine, wood blocks, something cool you find around the house.

Cool song, and great idea so far.

The acoustic was compressed...I've re-recorded the track taking all your comments on board. Couldn't get the backwards solo to sound as good though! There's something missing...not quite sure what it is but it doesn't feel as driven as the first one :/ All comments wanted and welcome

The guitar sounds much better from what I remember. No apparent phasing issues. The vocals have that lo-fi beatles style which is cool, but I would try out the EQ a littel different, maybe a tad less lows or a tad less high mids or highs, just try out different EQ settings. I like how the backwards guitar blends into the vocal when it first kicks in.
