newbie first song mix

Hey welcome to the forums! Good start on your song. I think your levels are what is holding you back right now. Don't be afraid to crank the drums up more and bring the guitars down. I know its a guitar driven song, but the drums are too far back. Mute everything but drums, then bring in bass. Get those two things rocking then bring in guitars.

Also, you may have too much distortion on the gits. But maybe play around with the EQ a little. Try rolling off their low end so you can hear the bass clearly then bring it back down a notch.
 
Yeah, +1 to what Brutish says about getting the drums and bass in sync.

The big thing I noticed was that the mix overall seems pretty dark, at least until the lead comes in. But bringing the drums up will probably help with that.
