Hey guys, here is some new demo material
my band and I have been working on.

We are new to mixing by ourselves, so any advice would
be greatly appreciated.

For those of you that have never heard my band
before, we are VENEJER. Our sound is between the lines
of Alice in chains and Sevendust. Check us out.

Hey Jose!

Overall, I think it sounds pretty good, but I do think it could be tightend up quite a bit. The bass could use a bit more presence/defintion. The kick is loud on some hits and soft on others, and maybe a bit too clicky. The vox could use some work - smash the crap out of it with an 1176 style compressor. The snare doesn't quite sit right to my ears.

Like I said though, it does sound pretty good, I'm just throwing out ideas to make it better. :D

I will follow your advice. Quick question.. about the Snare, do you think it sounds a little too loud? and it's also right smack in the middle. do you think some panning would do the trick?

what do you recommend?
 
I'd keep it straight down the middle. It may be a bit loud. Maybe try throwing a short plate on it?
 
Its well done but needs more definition. Its a little blurry right now,everything seems to be competing. Wider panning might help in addition to eq work.:)
