I shot this video with my 6-year-old daughter while my wife and son were out for the day. Amazingly, she managed to keep the secret for several weeks while I edited the film and recorded the soundtrack. Enjoy
keith.rogers: Thanks! And regarding Jack, he seems to have a gut of steel; he's eaten (i.e., stolen) chocolate before and was no worse for the wear. He didn't have to do any "acting" in this film; he just did what he's best at.
24Fretz: Yes, daughters this age are incredibly cute. And ha! I hadn't though of Starsky and Hutch in forever. I can definitely hear what you're talking about.
I LOVE this style of stuff!
You nailed the funky jive 70s vibe.
Kind of threw me off when the video cut to the little girl. I kind of expected to see Rudy Ray Moore as "Dolemite" and some honeys with fros and bell bottoms.
Lol
KILLER mix too man.
Nice job!
The problem for me was the 70s porno music didn't fit the video. It was actually a super weird juxtaposition that made me uncomfortable. The music and mix were both good just not in the context, IMO.
jimistone: Thanks! Yeah, if I'd had any foresight, I could've put Leherie in an afro wig I guess.
Nola: Ha! Sorry for the discomfort. I was just trying to have some fun with the music. After doing the full orchestral score for the last kid/dad movie (I don't know if you saw "Super Lennon and the Evil Serpents"), which took a long time, I wanted to go a simpler route for this. I wasn't going for the porno vibe ... more of a 70s action/mystery flick. But I can see how that's not a big leap.
