Nice acoustic tones. Got a nice southern rock vibe. Love the electric guitar overlays! Great vocals as always...man, still can't get over the acoustic tones. Really nice!

How bout that! A "rock" tune with no drums! That sounds amazing! Good work man!

and !!!!! just for good measure. :)

hey thanks broken h.....
appreciate the comments!

you know, you are the 2nd person to mention 'southern rock'...

and it never occurred to me while i was writing it, that it sounded like that in any way...

but i am from jacksonville florida....

LOL

so, maybe on a molecular level, maybe so......

oh yea,
some recording info:

acoustics recorded with a shure ksm44 thru a A Designs Audio MP-1, dbx compressor, some itb processing.....and a touch of reverb added.
vox used a ADK Hamburg...
elec guitars recorded direct from a Palmer PDI-09 on the output of a mesa boogie mark2b head, demeter iso box for load....
bass is dual track, sansamp bass di and the mesa boogie guitar head blended...

+1 on those acoustic tracks! Awesome! Thanks for the mic info. Can you tell us about placement and how many tracks and panning etc.

hey bigplay
thanks man, appreciate it!

i worked that arrangement.
had about 3 other versions before this one..
i posted those in the songs forum some time back..

4 rhythm acoustic tracks, 2 are the Taylor 414, 2 are the Seagull Artist, one of each typically panned left and right each

acoustics were dirt simple to record.

shure KSM44, pointed somewhere towards the 12th fret,
i'm probably 24" away.
mic into A Designs Audio MP-1 tube mic pre...hit the VU about 0db...
out of that and into a DBX MC-6 compressor, set on the classic dbx 160 mode...
unity gain and out, and into the soundcard.

once in, it gets the low end rolled off, sweeten the top end,
maybe a tuck at 350hz and around 2khz,
then ITB i run all acoustics to a Acoustic Guitar buss, and that gets a Waves C1 across it.
