I need some help EQ'ing an Sm58 in Post (Mackie 1202, EQ-flat & perfomance 4'' away)

I know, it all depends on the singer, nasal stuffs, pops and SSSS sounds, but assuming that you were performing really good and taking control of the volume at 4'' away, i wanna know a classic EQ to get the most out of it.

and also some important tips before going for compression and reverb.

Well, it'd still really depend on the rest of the mix, and the sound you were going for.

If there's nothing specific it really needs to sound any certain way differntly, none at all could be the way to go.
 
That's the kind of stuff that needs to be taken care of in tracking. A pop filter would be the first thing.
 
Maybe i'm obssesed with the fact, that most singers don't like her voice when they hear it after recorded.

So, i tought that maybe a preset could help to bring the voice more to what we hear in the reality with our ears.

i don't have any condenser right now, so.....
