I Came Out To Dance

© Irwin Abrigo 2018

(Verse)

I don’t make no joke when I’m dancing

on the dance floor cause I can dance

If you can dance why don’t you come

And dance with me come take a chance

No joking no smoking

When I’m dancing on the dance floor

No joking no smoking

When I’m dancing on the dance floor

(Chorus)

I came out to dance jump and wave my hands

So give me room let me show you my move

Dance, dance,(dance) dance, dance, (dance)

I came out to dance jump and wave my hands

So give me room let me show you my move

Dance, dance,(dance) dance, dance, (dance)

let me show you my move show you my move

Work your body Work your body

Work your body work

Everybody Work your body

Work your body work

Come on, Work your body Work your body

Work your body work

Everybody Work your body

Work your body work

Work your body Work your body

Work your body work

Everybody Work your body

Work your body work

Uhh.... So this is a very weird mix.
There's basically no low end, but I'm guessing you're going for that on purpose?

In terms of things I'd recommend actually fixing: The hi-hat is pretty shrill. I'd trim some of the extreme highs.
There are a lot of plosives on the vocals. Use a pop-stopper.

Hi VomitHatSteve, I appreciate you taking the time to give feedback.

The things that you've recommended I am taking them very serious, and I will go back and do some more work on this song. Your feedback is very helpful.

As others have said, it seems to be missing a bassline, and the hi-hats are harsh. Snare has no power. There seems to be reverb on the kick, which is usually a no-no.

Not only does this song not have a bassline, what you do have sounds very thin and tinny.

I'm assuming this was recorded on a cellphone. Was it?

No, jr mastering. It wasn't on my cell phone. I am learning about the dos and don'ts about recording and building music track and you bet I am catching on.

There is a very important lesson here...

and that is to not smoke on the dance floor. A number of dangerous incidents can occur, including, but not limited to: accidental burning, second-hand inhalation, and, of course, fire. Smoking while on any dance floor is both dangerous and irresponsible behavior. Be safe.
