Some of you might know me from my solo music thread for Ohms, well today I'm here to share the project I've been working on with my friend Duke.

The project is called Spaces, and we are trying to do something a little different. The music is instrumental and has influences from all over the place. Our goal is to write conceptual songs which will be released monthly, collectively telling a story bound together by similar sounds and sonic qualities. Artwork inspired by each respective track will also be released along with the songs, created by local artist and friend, James Sanford.

We are really excited about this and hope that people get in to it. It's all free and available for download in many different audio formats. We record everything ourselves in my bedroom, and have a lot of fun doing it.

At the end of all this I'd love to maybe put out physical copies of the music and artwork. Until then we want to try and release the artwork in desktop sizes, so if you're interested in this let us know so James can make sure to know which sizes are most popular.

So, let us know what you think, we're all really excited about this and have put a lot of hard work in to it all.

I think you should put more work into the music and less into the selling.

Interesting stuff, but out of curiosity, why do you think anybody here might be exited that you're not charging money to listen to any of it?

I dont even know what to say, we have been working on putting all of this together for months now, sorry if I'm trying my best to get it out to as many people as possible. I'd like to know how exactly you think we don't put effort in to our music cause I'll tell you what, insulting someone on the internet without having anything constructive to say just makes you a loser insulting someone online.

Why should people be excited that this is all free? Maybe because here are fellow musicians putting a lot of work in to something just for the sake of having fun and making music and expressing themselves rather than getting big or selling records.

Chill.

I didn't say you don't put effort in to your music. I like your music fine. And you might think its good form to ask for an honest opinion and then recoil in horror when you get one, but it isn't.

Every post in this forum contains music that is FREE!!!111!!.

Your inclusion of eleven links besides the one to your music speaks of a marketing effort and not a desire to engage other musicians for mixing and arrangement advice.

Are you here for advice, or are you here to sell music and prints of artwork in popular sizes?

Im sorry, what advice or opinions did you give other than saying to put effort in to my music?

I put the links I did because I'd like to give people multiple options to follow our music if they choose to do so. Not everyone uses myspace, or last.fm, or whatever.

I would love to have a conversation about the mix, or the songs, but that's not what you're trying to do here.
