First Whole song mixed in a while

[Dearborn]

Been focusing a lot on writing. I sat down to compose some drum parts. Still missing the fills. It's rough around the edges, but it's got a guitar, bass, singing, and now drums composed of 5 different parts. I call it a song.

Let me know what you think. I'll probably redo it tuned to D & E to see what I like best. And then keep trying for better takes over time. Thanks

You're sounding better each time, not stumbling as much in your quick delivery on lyrics. The guitar and bass are really jammin', man. The drums are slightly under the radar
but seem to work fine. You've got a good sound..

What guitar are you using?

Yeah the snare in particular is quite muffled. Vocals are good, nicely up front, they just need support from the rhythm section. On headphones seems like you could also cut some mud out of the 300-600Hz area on the guitar. Good job

I liked the way the song moves. I liked the melody.

Some significant timing issues between the guitar and drums, especially early in the song. Some pitch issues in the vocal. A double tracked vocal would work well. So would harmony vocals.

The bass was a little bit heavy for a tune like this. I'd go for a much more subdued low end on it. I liked the part tho.

I thought the acoustic guitar sounded pretty good.

I would just say that I can barely hear the drums.
